TIPS: If you have acne try to get a concealer that will not only cover the up acne, but will help heal it as well.
FOUNDATION that will stay on all night.
Unless your skin is dry try to get a foundation with medium to high coverage. For example, an oil-free liquid base in matte finish or a cream foundation. The ones with high coverage have the most lasting power and leave the skin totally velvety, perfect for party makeup.
TIPS ON APPLYING A FOUNDATION THAT WILL LAST THE WHOLE NIGHT LONG
- Apply your foundation with a sponge.
- Apply your foundation with downward movements, brushing the face.
- Use enough product to cover your entire face, but to avoid excess go over your face once more with a clean sponge.
- Pay special attention to the areas where you have already applied concealer, using soft strokes so as to not smear the concealer.
Trick: Wait for a couple of minutes before continuing to apply makeup so that the foundation will set on your face.
MATTE POWDERS to set makeup.
An important step that will let your makeup last all night is to apply matte powder over your foundation. Not only will it eliminate any shine, but it will set your foundation, too.
TIPS ON APPLYING MATTE POWDER
- You may use a loose powder or compact, whichever you prefer. Apply it with a powder puff to set the foundation.
- Avoid the excessive use of product by going over your face afterwards with a clean brush.
- Use a powder in the same shade as your foundation or a transparent one.
IMITATE CELEBRITIES WHEN DOING YOUR EYES
We will show you three different styles, so that you can adapt them to your wardrobe, your technique, and your face;
GOLD, glamour and elegance...
An excellent color for party makeup and it's flattering for all types of face shapes.
TIPS ON HOW TO APPLY GOLDEN TONES
- Apply a shade of medium gold to eyelid working it all the way to the hollow between the browbone and eyelid.ju
- Blend it in with a brush so that there are no lines.
- Apply a lighter shade of gold than the one you just used on your eyelid to the area under the brow. This will brighten and lift the eye.
- Apply a dark gold to the inside of the lower lashline, that will make your eyes look bigger.
- Apply a considerable amount of black mascara on your eyelashes.
Trick: Use a matte gold if you have wrinkles on your eyelids or expression lines. You can give a touch of shimmer to the fixed eyelid.
This makeup is perfect if:
- Your technique isn't very good but you want to apply makeup to your eyes.
- You have small eyes.
- You will be wearing a gold or black dress.
SMOKY EYES a sexy look in action
This is a classic that never goes out of style. With this style you will surely exude confidence.
TIPS ON ACHIEVING THE SMOKY EYE LOOK
- Apply black eyeliner on the inner part of the lashline on both upper and lower lashline.
- Re-apply the eyeliner on the same line. It's best to apply thin lines and to increase the amount of color by small increments.
- Blend that in with a brush that has been dipped in black or grey eyeshadow.
- Blend in all the way up to the browbone so that there are no lines distinguishable.
- Blend in the lower lid with a fine brush, softly.
- Apply a shade of shimmery white on the fixed eyelid.
- Give intensity to your eyelashes. First use a lash curler, then use two coats of black mascara.
TIPS: If you have used this style of makeup make sure you carry a black eyeliner with you, so that you can retouch the liner as necessary. If you've never tried this style, try it one day before the party so you see if you can achieve the results you like.
This eye makeup is perfect for you if:
- You have good technique and blend in shades on the eyelids well.
- You have big eyes or light colored eyes.
- For any color of dress, since black goes with everything.
THE NATURAL LOOK classic and a sure bet.
A fresh and natural look can be converted into a makeup suitable for a party.
TIPS FOR NATURAL MAKEUP
- Apply a light glittery shade (use matte if you have wrinkles on eyelids) on the whole eyelid, from the lashline to the eyebrow.
- Use a cream, off-white, or beige.

- Apply a good coat of mascara to eyelashes
- Use a blush that compliments your skin and blend it in so that it looks natural.
- Apply lip color in a lively color.
TIP: Apply some shimmer to the top part of your cheekbone to add a touch of festiveness.

- Your technique isn't that great.
- You have lovely full lips and you like to apply lip color to them (Do not use this technique if your lips are small)
- You don't have much time to apply makeup but you want to look elegant.

This is an easy step. It is fast, but it will give your makeup that special touch of festiveness for the party.
TIPS TO ILLUMINATE THE FACE
- Apply an powdered illuminator on the T-zone (forehead, chin, and top part of cheekbones)
- If you don't have any you may use a pearly white shade instead of the powder.
- Blend it in with a brush so that the results will look natural.
