Fresh Look
It exudes such sophistication with little makeup...something that seems impossible but isn't. One of the things that most surprises about this makeup is that the skin looks absolutely translucent.
How do we achieve this?
Barely any makeup is used. It's just moisturizer mixed with four drops of foundation. So that the face is luminous. A lightly textured concealor in the same skin tone is used to hide those small imperfections.
A finishing touch that will remove shine from those areas where you don't want shine, is "the light application of a loose translucent powder brushed on with a thick brush. This will give a more blended and natural look."
When you want to achieve a light and fresh look it's very important that the makeup is transparent so that it doesn't cover the natural satiny glow of the skin. If we apply too much powder, this subtle glow will disappear.
This effect is very favorable and is always compatible with any makeup, when we want the skin to look sheer and beautiful.
The eyes do not require much makeup either. It is only necessary to use a small amount to add a bit of expressiveness to the eyes and a bit of light to the eyelid and underbrow.
With a flat brush a dark brown shadow is applied on the eyelid. The color is blended in from the lashline to the hollow of the eye.
Now to emphasize the eyeliner, the technique is to draw the line very close to the lashline with a beveled brush. Then go over that line with a black eyeshadow. Blend in towards the eyelid. Continue with a golden beige to give hints of light: on the middle of the eyelid, on the inner corner of the eyes, and on the skin under the lower eyelashes.
The mascara, in this case is only applied on the upper eyelashes, from root to tips, leaving them brushed and well defined. With a clean spiral eyelash brush, work out any clumps and brush them to desired form. The lower lashes are brushed with the clean spiral mascara brush, but no mascara is needed.
The cheeks call for a creamy red blush, applied with fingertips to the apples of the cheeks. Blend in towards ears and towards cheekbones.
We also see subtle highlights with a creamy highlighting product that will not hide the natural texture of the skin. Blend in highlighting product with blush, so as to not show any lines.
A complimentary caramel color is lightly applied to the lips, to achieve a fresh, yet “casual” look. We don't line the lips. The shimmery color is applied directly to the lips with a brush, playing with the naturalness of all the makeup, and getting a striking effect of hydration. This is achieved with a lip gloss in cherry color and glossy finish, even though the effects are not long lasting. The results of translucent and beautiful lips are best accomplished with a lip gloss of this type, which has little color.
