I went shopping yesterday after work. I had seen a pair of gray trousers that I wanted to try on, and I took advantage of the opportunity to go to the store :-) , so I jumped at the chance…
When I tried the pants on, I loved them, and on my way to the cash register, I thought to myself, “What am I going to wear with these?” Then I thought, “Since they're loose-fitting, I have to wear them with a close-fitting top. A shade of gray would look good, but I don't have anything in gray – gray for spring!” So I remembered one of my tricks for when I go shopping: I always decide what I am going to wear with my new piece, and if I don't have anything, I either buy something to wear it with or don't buy it at all. So I bought a light gray silk blouse for the total look.
Never buy something if you don't know what to wear with it; that way, you'll make sure that you really wear everything you buy!
