For quite some time now I've dedicated Sundays to getting my skin into shape. There's nothing better than starting Monday off on a good foot, and Sunday is the ideal day for relaxing at home and caring for yourself: you'll notice the effects throughout the week.

This is my “home spa” routine:

  • A good face and body exfoliation is an ideal way to start a home ritual.
  • Next, I use a face mask. Depending on how my skin is, I use either a calming or a moisturizing mask.
  • For hair, I do my usual ritual: a good wash with a scalp massage, followed by a mask. Since I only use the mask once a week, I leave it on for twenty minutes.
  • A good body moisturizer. Now that summer is getting closer, I also add some self-tanner to add a touch of color to my skin. On Monday, people always ask me where I went over the weekend!
  • Hands and feet are the next part of the ritual: I file and paint my nails, and most importantly, hydrate my cuticles. During the spring, I like a reddish-orange shade of polish on the toes and a nude tone for fingers.
  • I complete the ritual with a light dinner and a relaxing cup of tea.
  • I always go to bed early on Sundays to prepare for the upcoming week and the new challenges that lie ahead.
