You will be radiant!

We are always talking about how to create a sexy look but, many times, we forget of one of the most important parts: the eyelashes. Today I will teach you how to apply makeup to them to totally transform your look with only one touch, wether you will do a night or day makeup.

Step by step

1. Choose a good product, for me the three indispensable ones are:

Mascara Inimitable by Chanel: perfect for fine and long eyelashes. If you have thick eyelashes try Dior Show by Dior.

Mascara Oscillation Power Booster by Lancôme: always use a base mascara. It will protect and moisturize the eyelash.

Eyelash curler by Shiseido: use it when you want to highlight the eyelashes, for example in a super natural makeup.

Make sure that your mascara is in good condition; remember that after three months they go dry.

2. Prepare your eyelashes

Start curling the eyelash, very carefully from the root to the center, and at the end the tips. Later applyi the base mascara placing special emphasis on the birth of the eyelashes. Repeat on top as much as on the bottom.

3. Apply makeup to your eyelashes

Apply the black mascara, from the birth to the tips, helping the brush to lift them and giving more product on the birth. For the inferior area, use the tip of the brush to avoid the eyelashes to stick together.

Repeat this process placing special attention on the tips and lightly curling with the brush, as if you were lifting the lashes. Wait for the mascara to dry to clean the eyelid if you got it dirty.

As you can see, achieving a sexy look is only a matter of minutes. And you, do you have a special technique to apply makeup to your eyelashes?

24 PROFESSIONAL TRICKS ON HOW TO PUT MAKEUP ON PEOPLE WITH EYEGLASSES, TO DETERMINE WHAT TEXTURES ARE MOST FLATTERING AND EASY TO USE, AND HOW TO TRANSFORM THE SHAPE AND SIXE OF THE EYE

1. The right peeling and, above all, a good design and makeup for the eyebrows guarantee that the eyes will take on there best look.

2. To make the tip of an eye pencil more resistant, warm it up with your hands for 2 minutes.

3. For sensitive or easily irritated eyes use a khol pencil that is specially designed not to irritate the eye.

4. Always use a sharpener designed for makeup use only to avoid the tip from breaking or clogging.

5. Sharpen the pencil right before using it so that it is soft.

6. Underline the eyelid just near the eyelashes as this will make the eye look bigger.

7. If you want a very elaborate makeup, you can blend a cream eye shadow on the eyelid after putting on a powder one.

8. Be careful with colors. For day makeup neutral colors are more flattering. Don’t overdo it with too much color, save that for nighttime.

9. A bit of white eyeliner on the edge of the upper and lower eyelid lightens up the look.

10. If the makeup turns out to strong or doesn´t look like you wanted it to, you can soften it by using a bit of transparent powder applied with a small makeup brush.

11. The shape of the eye dictates the colors you should use base on a simple principle: clear tone bring out eyes while dark tones make the eye appear deeper.

12. Darker tones should be applied on the edge of the eyelashes and light tones are used to lighten up the inner part of the eye.

13. During the day it´s better to use neutral tones such as grays, browns, pinks, black and beige.

14. Matte and semi matte tones are flattering for everyone.

15. Pearly tones are very difficult to wear because they are very visible and make small defect stand out instead of hide them.

16. In general, deep tones go well with matte and tanned skin will pastel tones go better with pale skin.

17. Eye makeup should be applied as close to the eye as possible to give it a more natural look.

18. For people with bags under their eyes you should use gray and smoky tones as well as browns.

19. Mature eyes should never use pearly tones. They should use matte and soft tones.

20. For green eyes okra and earthy tones are very flattering and for evening makeup use pinks.

21. For blue eyes use gray tones and for evening makeup use yellows and golds.

22. For brown eyes use yellows, pinks and salmons and browns and for evening makeup you can use warm blues.

23. For dark eyes use light gray as well as smoky and pink tones.

24. Using glasses should not get in the way of wearing makeup but the makeup used should be adapted according to the type of glasses.

Near sightedness: the eyes appear smaller so you want to make them look bigger by drawing a thicker outline.

Far sightedness: this type of glasses distort and make the eye look bigger so you should avoid anything that makes the eye look bigger and you should use soft and matte tones and blend them well. You should also use very light mascara. Glasses for astigmatism affect the eye the least. Avoid mute tones.

In this article I’ll be telling you about micropigments – lips and eyes made up 24 hours – and the solution for hair loss in the eyebrows.

Dermopigmentation or micropigmentation is a procedure used since antiquity in which particles of different substances are placed under the skin to create permanent designs. In the 1940s we see the first medical tattoos, and in the 1970s the first esthetic ones.

I you are willing to undergo this treatment, you should look for a professional place where they have good knowledge of the pigments and their possible mixtures, and their professionals show patience, meticulousness and artistic qualities, which are all essential to a good practice.

INSTRUCTIONS

Esthetic or beauty micropigmentation is used to fill in the case of hairloss in the eyebrows, to outline and add volume to lips and to draw an eyeline, both in the lover and upper eyelid.

After the treatment inflammation occurs. It’s secondary to the trauma produced by the repeated penetration of the needles to deposit the pigment. Then starts a process of cicatrisation, with a small scab forming on the surface of the skin. After that, the dermis starts regenerating and the collagen in the skin becomes remodeled. Lastly, the dermis is completely repaired and the pigment particles become distributed.

The machine used in dermopigmentation has a motor that produces a to and fro movement of the needles inserted at its tip. The pigments used are non-toxic and don’t cause irritation, since they are vegetable.

Let yourself be advised by professionals, but it’s important to be conscious and able to give your opinion on the change taking place, since it is you who has to undergo it.

EYEBROWS

To get harmonic eyebrows, the professional will take some measurements and then make a drawing in pencil, so you can get an idea of the final result. Then the filling process begins.

LIPS

To draw the lips correctly, there are also a series of imaginary lines across the face that help determine proportion and shape. It’s important to choose a color that’s only one or two shades darker than your own, so the result is as natural as possible and you can avoid using lipstick.

EYELASHES

The process for eyelashes is much simpler, as the professional merely follows the outline of the eyelashes. The only variation possible is in the thickness desired, which is achieved by running over the same line several times. The line on the lower and upper eyelids is drawn over the eyelashes and between them. It’s advisable not to end the line at the very end of the outer eye, but to leave the last 3 or 4 lashes out.

I hope this information has been helpful in clearing your ideas before undergoing micropigmentation.

In this article I’ll explain how to do the trendiest makeup: smokey eyes.

Let’s start at the very beginning

Before applying any makeup you should always cleanse the skin and moisturize it, allowing a few minutes for it to penetrate the skin before starting. This will make your makeup last longer. Then correct whatever you need to, such as red or blue areas. Use concealer not only under the eyes, but also over the moving eyelid. This will allow the shadow to slide easier over the eyelid and keeps it from becoming patchy.

Foundation

Apply the foundation chosen for each type of skin. If you want to achieve a natural result, the foundation must be the same tone as the skin or a tone higher in winter and up to two in summer. If necessary, and depending on the effect you’re trying to achieve, you can apply face powder.

The eyes

Once you’ve finished making up the skin, it’s time to pass on to the eyes. To achieve smoky eyes, we’ll choose the color black. It’s important to start by applying the shadow bit by bit over the moving part of the eyelid. Pick a brush with tight, close bristles and extend it from the inside out and then from the center in. That way you are applying the biggest quantity of shadow in the center of the eyelid and then bringing the biggest intensity to the outer part of the eyelid instead of towards the lachrymal.

Once you’ve shaped the smoky eyes and checked both eyes look the same, you can start intensifying the outer part of the moving eyelid. Then with a looser-bristled brush, start expanding the shade in circular upward movements. Be careful not to reach the eyebrows, since you must leave a space there to apply a lighter shadow that will brighten up the gaze. You will apply that after the mascara. Choose a black mascara that adds volume and thickens the eyelashes, making the eyes look more intense. It’s important to apply mascara first to the lower eyelids and then to the upper ones. That way you won’t dirty the shadow. Then comb the eyelashes outwards, curving them with an eyebrush (this is the same as a mascara brush but without any product on it). And now apply the lighter shadow to the space left under the eyebrow. The tones can be gold, champagne, or pearl white. This will brighten the gaze.

Pencils

Using a pencil, then draw a line across the lower eyelid and paint over that line with a shadow, continuing it to the lachrymal. This will make the line last longer, and make it look more intense.

The cheeks

For the cheeks choose a pink tone, which will make the face look fresher and brighter. Extend this up to the temple and blur it out over the cheekbone.

For the lips use a natural lipliner only to draw their shape. You can choose either a tea-colored or beige lipstick and, if you like, you can apply a touch of lipgloss to the center of the lower lip as well as the upper one to add volume.

I hope this advice is useful to you. If you follow all the steps I’m sure you will be able to do this trendy make up successfully.

If you are tan and don’t know what makeup to put on, in this week’s bulletin I’m sharing with you the steps on how to create a flattering, trendy look.

When we have a suntan, not all makeup products flatter us and we have to be careful not to overdo it on the face or, on the contrary, we will look unnatural. So here are the steps to looking radiant and applying makeup with one of the trendiest techniques this season:

Foundation

• Don’t use too much concealer or foundation. Remember that you have a tan, so you only need foundation and concealer on the areas where you truly need them.

• If you use a bronzer powder, blend it well and don’t put on too much, or it won’t look natural.

Smoky eyes step by step

Once you have put on your foundation, the next step is to put makeup on the eyes. To do that, you’ll need the following products:

• Golden eyeshadow in a medium to dark hue
• Cream eyeshadow in a pearly hue (very light)
• Black eyeliner
• Mascara
• Eye brush

Follow these steps:

1 Apply golden eyeshadow over the entire eyelid.

2. Increase the intensity of the hue as much as you like as you apply the eyeshadow over the eyelid. It’s very important that you only cover up to the bone.

3. The next step is to make up the eye on the inside with a black eyeliner to add more intensity to your gaze.

4. Lastly, put this golden hue on the lower part of the eyelid and blend, then give a touch of color on the upper eye with a pearly cream eyeshadow.

Cheeks

• Give a light touch of pink blush to your cheeks. When you have a tan, it’s very flattering.

Lips

• You can put makeup on your lips with a golden hue to create harmony or, if you prefer, add a completely transparent gloss.

At night, all of lighting that surrounds us is artificial, and artificial light reduces color intensity. That’s why we have to make evening makeup more intense.

When we put on evening makeup, we have to keep in mind the lighting that will showcase it. For evening makeup, choose dark colors and shiny textures to achieve the most glamorous and sophisticated look.

Don’t be shy and shine with your own light. Translucent shine that lets your skin show through is the winner.

Gold is the star hue, both in makeup as in dresses and accessories. Light is very important because it makes makeup look one way or another.

If we put on daytime makeup, this should be of lighter, more natural colors and of a very fine texture, since in daylight, any excess in makeup is easily noticed. That’s why we have to go for the most natural look.

The importance of preparing the skin

Before starting to put on makeup, apply a cream foundation, either a moisturizer or a makeup primer that we can even mix with a beauty flash for more special occasions.

Let the skin rest for a few minutes so that the product absorbs well.

Correct imperfections

All pigmentation problems need to be worked on before applying foundation. If imperfections are present like spots, facial blemishes, etc., cover them with a concealer in high-coverage paste and apply another more natural, liquidone around the contour of the eyes. If you put on too thick of a concealer, any expression lines will be very pronounced.

We can use the same liquid concealer in a hue that’s lighter than the skin to soften any features that can harden a woman.

Unify the foundation

We can find a great variety of foundations of different textures and coverage on the market: for mature skin, oily skin, etc. Choose one depending on your skin’s needs.

A touch of health

If wanting to give the skin a fresh look, choose a cream blush. Apply it before adding loose powder, since it belongs to the oil family. Cream blush is ideal for older people and dry skin.

Set it all in a natural way

Set all of the foundation with a translucent powder to achieve a natural-looking skin that’s not too matte. Apply translucent powder with a light touch of a brush.

If we want to add more color, apply a bronzer powder to sculpt the face, neck and bust. That way we’ll obtain a skin hue that’s even with the rest of the body.

The eyes, the main characters

Apply a foundation eyeshadow in the color of light, and then, with the dark color, establish the maximum mark below the eye, following the lower line of the eye.

We can also apply this hue at the root of the eyelashes, blending it around the area of the eyesocket or the eyeshadow, thus highlighthing the point of intensity.

The point of intensity is an imaginary point where the lower line of the eye and the line of the eyesocket cross.

Go over the line of the eyelashes to achieve a more intense look. We can make this line with eyeshadow to degrade into a medium hue.

If we want to enlarge the eye, leave a line slightly open at the end of the eye.

Hot eyelashes

Apply abundant mascara, eliminating possible lumps with a clean eyelash brush and thus giving them the desired shape.

If you want to achieve an elongated eye, don’t apply mascara on the lower lashes, since this makes the eye rounder.

Eyebrows give the gaze a lot of expression, so correct them if necessary, filling in any possible gaps and lengthening the ends.

And lastly, sensual lips

When applying lipliner, blend it toward the inside of the lips. Apply a lipstick in the same hue; that way the liner won’t be noticeable.

To look so sophisticated, as if hardly any makeup has been used, is something that seems impossible but in reality isn’t.

One of the most surprising things about this look is that the skin is absolutely transparent.

How is this effect achieved?

She hardly has any makeup on. She’s only wearing a moisturizer mixed with four drops of foundation so that the skin looks shiny, and a little bit of lightly textured concealer in the same color as the skin to cover any slight blemishes.

To seal this concealer and minimize any unflattering shininess, add “a very light touch of transparent, colorless powder with a thick brush; in this way, the translucent powder looks more blended and natural.”

To achieve this fresh, light skin, it’s very important that the skin shows through without losing the light satin sheen of natural skin. If we apply too much powder, this subtle sheen will disappear.

This effect is very flattering and will always look great with any makeup, as long as the skin is fine and pretty.

The eyes don’t have much makeup either, just the necessary amount to give the gaze expression and light that illuminates the upper eye and the arch of the eyebrow.

Apply a dark brown eyeshadow on the eyelid with a flat brush, blending from the eyelash line to the eye cavity.

Now, to reinforce the eyelash line, the technique consists in drawing a line that’s very close to the eyelashes with a bevelled brush and black eyeshadow, blending it on the eyelid upwards. Next, give touches of light with a golden beige eyeshadow: in the center of the eyelid, in the tearduct corner and on the skin below the lower eyelid.

Mascara has only been applied to the upper eyelashes, from the root to the tip, so that they look well combed and defined, eliminating with a clean eyelash brush any possible lump and giving them the desired shape. The lower eyelashes have only been combed.

On the cheeks, she is wearing rosy brown cream blush, applied directly with the fingertips over the cheeks and blended toward the ear and the point of light on the cheekbone.

Her points of light have also been highlighted very softly with another cream product so that the skin doesn’t lose that natural texture, blending the illuminator with the cream blush so that no abrupt change is visible.

She’s been given a touch of caramel color on the lips that looks very flattering. To keep her look fresh and casual, her lips have not been outlined. The gloss has been applied directly with the help of a brush. This plays with the natural quality of the makeup and achieves a flattering moisturizing effect, thanks to a cherry gloss and shiny finish: “Although it lasts less, the attractive, transparent lips effect that we’re looking for is achieved better with a gloss of this sort because it doesn’t contain a lot of color pigment.”

Surely on some occasion you’ve gone to a party with a fantastic dress that looked great on you, but you felt that something was wrong, you weren’t absolutely perfect, and you didn’t know what to do to shine, to be a star and light up the room with your gaze, your presence. Well, here I’m introducing you to a proposal so that situation won’t ever be happen again.

Your Skin Makes the Difference

For good makeup to give spectacular results, the first thing to keep in mind is that our skin needs to look splendid. For that, we need to be conscientious about nurturing it and taking care of it every day.

Skin needs us to clean it with special products, like milk, foams, and we need to use products that are right for our type of skin (dry, combination, oily). Always after cleaning it, it must be toned. And while we may think that it’s not such an important step, we need to know that when we clean our skin, the natural pH destabilizes, and if we don’t use toner, it takes four hours to recuperate. That’s why the pores are more open, and external agents like pollution, attack our skin, with dirt entering the pores and giving us shininess and blackheads.

After cleaning and toning the skin, we need to nurture and moisturize it. This will give our skin a healthy look and it will also avoid wrinkles standing out and making expression lines visible.

It’s important to repeat this action twice a day, in the morning and in the evening so that our skin can be in the best state.

Makeup Foundation, the Foundation of the Result

One can find different types of makeup foundations: liquid, cream, illuminating, matte…

A liquid foundation looks very natural, but it’s important to put on makeup that’s the same hue as our skin. (If we want to look tan, it’s better to apply bronzer powders; this looks more natural and flattering.)

I recommend that you use illuminating foundation. If it doesn’t seem to have enough coverage, mix your foundation with illuminating powders. It will lend your face a lot of light without adding shininess. (Cream illuminators are easier to apply, and since they have that texture, they give your face a moisturized effect.)

Dazzle with Your Gaze

Your eyes should be perfectly made up, but there should be no abrupt changes. Remember that in this look, we’re looking for a touch of light, uniformity, balance.

Above all we should be careful with concealers. Liquids look very natural, but they don’t cover up as much as cream concealers. However, these latter ones are thicker and, if we’re not careful when applying them, can mark our expression lines. We can avoid this by putting on a small quantity and blending well, or even if it’s very dry, we can mix it with some moisturizing cream to reduce the thickness.

Eyeshadows should be pearly, very shiny, to light up the gaze. Outline the line of the eyelashes but with eyeshadow, aided by a slanted brush and blending well.

Apply a pearly or iridescent eyeshadow in a light color on the eyelid, such as pinks, blues, greens…and on the upper eye, apply a very shiny white eyeshadow; this will lend light, give the eye volume and lift the eyebrow, giving your gaze expression. Blend the eyeshadow toward the temples, but without leaving any abrupt cuts. You will achieve a very natural appearance and open up your eyes.

Curl your eyelashes and mark them with black mascara from the roots to the tips, and give the lower eyelashes some soft touches.

A Touch of Color for Your Cheeks

Apply a rose hue to your cheeks. Applying cream blush looks more luminous, so avoid the powder textures that keep you away from the luminiosity you’re looking for.
Apply touches with your fingertips, blending well (remember that we’re trying to stay away from abrupt cuts).

Seal without Losing Light

It’s true that for makeup to last longer, it’s better to apply loose transclucent powders; however, in this type of makeup, we’re looking for light, and if we apply this type of powder, we would lose the face’s luminosity. Use loose powders that contain illuminating pigments. That way you’ll be able to set the makeup without losing all shine.

An Irrisistible Mouth

The mouth is the last step in this look. Apply a gloss in a very natural hue, almost colorless, that only adds light to the face. It’s better to not outline the mouth, since you know that abrupt changes are not recommendable in this type of makeup.

Foundation: It will change your face

If you don’t use foundation, we recommend that you buy one that adapts to your skin type. You’ll notice that your skin looks completely even and that your face is ready adding on some color!

If you already use foundation, try using concealer (if the product is sufficiently light) over the foundation to lend light to your gaze. Blend with the tips of your fingers to eliminate any excess. You will take years off your face!

Highlight your eye color:

Try a different eyeshadow, one that highlights the color of your eyes. Review our advice in the third day of our personal image minicourse.

Change your mascara; your gaze will change

If your mascara is more than three months old, it’s time to change it. Buy a different one unless you’re absolutely pleased with the one you have. Try one that lengthens eyelashes or thickens them, and remember to always apply two coats.

Give your cheeks some color:

Are you applying blush correctly? To stay on target, follow your cheekbone. Smile and apply the color with a brush, then blend with a powder brush (normally thicker than blusher brushes) to give a natural finish.
Why not? Unless you have very pink skin, apply a touch of pink blush (you can also use a pale pink eyeshadow) in the center of your cheek. You will automatically add a different touch to your look.
Smile freely:

If you never put makeup on your lips, start now! What’s the color that flatters you the most? The one that’s the most similar to your lips, in a lighter or darker color. Apply transparent gloss. It’s very fashionable and is perfect for daytime makeup.

If getting up on a stage and speaking in public is one of your main fears, imagine how negative it is for your self-esteem to have to speak in public and wear poor makeup. Although a makeup artist can’t help you beat stage fright, perhaps she can solve the wrong makeup and even offer some suggestions as to fixing your hair.

Applying Stage Makeup as a Professional

In the first place, you need to know your products and tools. The wrong product or tool can mess up an entire production. The wrong foundation can make a face flat and expressionless. The wrong lip color can make lips look too striking, drawing attention away from the rest of the makeup. It’s not advisable to have an anonymous presence. The opposite of an expressionless face is an exaggerated one. Using the wrong tools can make some lines look like a clown’s or even look unkempt or dirty. Your makeup will then look unrealistic and false. For success in makeup, a balance is needed between the visual and reality. Remember that those who are sitting farther away in an auditorium will need to see your facial features and expressions just as much as those who are sitting at the front.

Personally I like to use a cream foundation that’s one or two hues darker than the one generally used to give greater coverage and visibility, translucent powder to set the makeup, highly pigmented eyeshadow, a lipstick of a color that complements the skin hue, eyeliner and mascara in black or dark brown, concealer and illuminator. It may be advisable to wear false eyelashes to add more emphasis to the eyes.

When you work with these products, it’s best to have the following tools available for applying makeup: a sponge for the foundation, velour puff for the powder, natural hair brushes, a brush for the lips, eyelash brush and eyelash curler.

Advice for Applying Stage Makeup

1. Always begin stage makeup with a clean face. The makeup will last longer and the application will be easier if the face isn’t dirty or greasy. I also recommend a toner to balance the skin’s pH.

2. Once the face is clean, it’s time to apply the eyelashes. The eyelashes will stick better if there isn’t any moisturizing cream in that area.

3. Apply the moisturizer. The lights and heavy makeup can have a drying effect on the skin. The moisturizer will help nurture the skin.

4. Familiarize yourself with the lighting, the form of your face and your skin’s features. This will be useful when you apply concealer in a lighter hue to cover up the dark circles under the eyes. Mix it well so that no lines are visible. Apply the concealer just below the cheekbone to give your face depth. You need to know the shape of your face to distribute your makeup well; if not, any lines will look like huge cracks from the stage.

5. If you use a cream foundation, you will succeed in getting the best coverage. It’s very easy to use with a sponge and can be very easily spread. If you think it’s too heavy a foundation, you can moisten the sponge somewhat to ease the process. Apply a generous quantity of translucent powder, concentrated below the eyes. This will help to clean the loose powder from the eyeshadow and will also fix the makeup and avoid shininess.

6. You should apply a lipstick of a color that complements your skin. Your lips also need to be seen from the audience so that your face won’t look flat.

7. Apply the eye makeup, remembering that the audience should see you from different distances. The lines should be neat and well distributed. If you apply too much black eyeliner, whether above or below, your makeup can look too strong. Therefore, if you use a prominent, thick line above, apply a fine line on the bottom. You can even try to use brown on the lower part and black on the upper part. Curl your eyelashes so that your eyes will look more open. Apply mascara, one coat at a time; allow it to dry and apply a second coat to add thickness and length.

8. Remove any loose powder. Clean any areas that look unkempt.

9. Apply the lipstick with a brush for greater tidyness. If you use a lip liner, choose one that combines with the lipstick so that your lips will always look clean and neat. A thick line can draw attention to a place that you don’t want to stand out.

Stage Hairstyles

When you get up on a stage, the hairstyle should complement the makeup and vice versa. Talk to the stylist to achieve the hairstyle that best adapts to the set. If the event taking place on the stage is going to last a certain amount of time, it’s important that the hair be perfect throughout that period. The style should be realistic, whether it’s a ballet, a talent or beauty show, or performance. Again, if the hair is too unrealistic or competes with the makeup, it will take away from the show. If you have any doubts, use a simple hairstyle without hair around the face. It will be one less distraction.

Epilogue

Stage fright comes and goes. The work of a makeup artist will last forever. Do your job and enjoy the show.
